NOTE: The eye lenses are a pain in the rear to remove, you need to use a stiff and narrow (~1mm) rod to push them out from behind.
If you've wondered where those bags and pouches are from in other 30 Minutes Label product images, this is the guy that has the green/tan ones, while the Roundnova II has light grey ones.
The Roundnova is canonically an early type mech of the Byron forces that they still use due to its rugged construction.
Aesthetics:
Bandai did a very good job of adding some personality to the 30MM line with this guy, with his rounded robot design, pincer hands and canvas clad lower legs - Even the Royroy looks more primitive with its stubby little legs and oversized arms.
There's a much more utilitarian consideration, as there are prominent C-clip attachment points (on the bars) and some good 3mm holes that look appropriately placed. You can argue the pouches on a ~15m tall mech are a little silly, but they look appropriate for the stocky fella.
While he's a little shorter than your average Portanova, he's a lot bulkier with a giant domed head, chunky leg plates and a huge backpack. Even its 'pistol' is quite big.
Compatibility:
You can expect fairly decent compatibility with the 30MM line, even the large domed head will fit on a model if the shoulders don't get in the way. The pincer hands are likewise on ball-joints and compatible with 1/144 scale kits (except for 30MS and 30MF, which use peg style hands). The shoulders don't have room to add shoulder plates, you'll have to replace the arms from another kit to do that.
The artillery/missile pods on the backpack are simple blocks with 3mm pegs that fit onto anything and the shield/gun will fit most regular 1/144 scale hands.
The lower waist is quite wide, so if you want a wide-legged stance for other models, this is the one to get - You can fit any round polycap body onto it, such as an upper body from a Spinatio or Portanova. Definitely a solid A grade compatibility, even if a small Verdenova head looks weird on the ultra-wide body, you *can* fit it.
Equipment:
2 Large Pouches with 3mm pegs (handy as backpacks for other models)
2 Leg Pouches with 3mm holes
2 angled 3mm pegs for the leg pouches - Bit of an awkward fit on other models, but they're for the chest of the model to angle the pouches outwards
4 Pincer Hands - Pair of holding hands that you can slot grips into and a pair of open hands with 3mm holes in the middle
1 Large Pistol
1 Round Shield with a 3mm peg and hole
2 Missile Pods with 3mm pegs
1 Royroy (mini robot)
1 "command" type eye piece with a fin - Can be attached on the Roundnova or the Royroy
Conclusion:
This is, in my opinion, one of the better 30MM kits, not in the least due to the pouches/bags that you can put onto various 30MS or 30MF kits that fit nicely in scale. Mind you, that from behind they're totally hollow, so you might want to customize them.
The difference between this and the white one, besides the colors, is only that it has the missile pods, while the Roundnova II has skis and a small dish for the gun.
