HiRM High resolution model 1/100 Gundam Astray Red Frame Powered Red

A great kit that currently is the centerpiece of my collection.

The overall process of building it was great, with nothing too tedious or frustrating to sour the experience, however, a surprising amount of force had to be applied while connecting the arms to the rest of the model. I'd also advise care when it comes to removing gates, especially while removing the metallic pieces, since a lot of the plastic marks quite easily.

The finished model itself is magnificent and surprisingly sturdy, even with it's massive arms. In terms of it's authenticity when compared to it's namesake from the manga, they've definitely decided to upscale the arms a bit for this kit.
Personally, I think that was a great decision, as the oversized arms and pauldrons of the 'Powered Red' was definitely it's defining characteristic, so it only helps the model stand out even more.

Furthermore, I think it helps with the posing, especially the posable fingers, quite a bit. This kit has been my personal favorite to pose in my collection, owing to the fact that it is has quite a nice hold, even with it's giant arms. You are able to get some great dynamic poses out of this model, even without a base, and as someone who prefers to avoid bases when possible, that is a huge plus.
