PG UNLEASHED 1/60 ν Gundam

!WARNING!
Due to the extremely tight tolerances inside of the hip joints, you run the risk of cracking the waist plates and silver locking rings. The white plastic is slightly porous and is not fit for panel lining without a gloss coat, as it stains and cracks.
For the hips I recommend sanding the hip joint internals, the sides of the pegs facing forwards and backwards, and the housing the pegs sit in. Use a dry lube, such as graphite (I used a 5B pencil) on all of the friction surfaces. This will allow the legs to swing sideways/laterally, without risk. Additionally, lube the main pegs that slot into the hip joints, as well as the interior, so the model can kick without twisting any of the plastic.
Even with sanding and lubricant, the legs hold their position on my model - Make sure to test the rigidity and go bit by bit and consider using a video guide.

Aesthetics:
While the PGU RX-78-2 was busy looking, the exterior of the Nu is more measured while keeping just as detailed of an inner frame.
Almost everything is undergated, but keep an eye out for nubs, such as at the end of pegs.
Just like the MGEX Strike Freedom, the gold runners may have running ink patterns and while most of the metal injection silver is internal, there are some exterior parts - Consider sanding and painting.

The kit features photo-etch and 3D stickers like its forerunner - There is a huge sheet of the latter, a quarter of which is not accounted for in the manual. Consider applying a little glue to both kinds, so they don't fall off.
Thankfully the kit also comes with a water slide decal sheet!
The 'new' aspect is the wires, but there is no core inside of them, so they're impossible to bend and won't stay in place. I recommend throwing them out and buying real wires as replacements. They also mark easily when you try to push them into place with your nail or a tool.

Mechanics:
Only the posable hands are pre-molded, nothing else.
Top notch articulation, multi-joint ab crunch (consider tightening), rotating forearms, tilting wrists, sideways torso tilt, an unlocking waist that allows for the hips to swing out, a support-arm on the backpack to help hold the bazooka and an absolute ton of opening hatches to show off interior detail.
The waist unlocks to allow the legs to swing down - Do NOT kick or swing the legs while unlocked, as this causes a huge break risk, especially if you don't sand and lube like I recommended!

Equipment:
Included 'PG Unicorn Base' with additional parts to hold the fins, but there is no LED unit, that's sold separately.
Beam Rifle, Shield, Hyper Bazooka, Fin Funnels (17 inches long!), 2 beam saber hilts with two different kinds of effect parts, 6 fixed hands, 2 posable hands with opening fingertips and mini-figs of Amuro Ray and Chan Agi.

Conclusion:

At 4600 DKK this is for enthusiasts and no one else, I can't tell you that this is worth more than a phone, tablet or a vacation, only you can determine that. Personally, I think it's too much, especially without an LED and the base is a reprint.
It's also a huge project, this took me a week to build while being at home every day - This became my job. The manual is excellent in telling you how to prep for each part, but you need to go through all the runners and break off each sub-runner for each phase and it all takes time, especially with over 1300 parts to nip, clean and assemble, plus you have runners that are across phases so you need to use them again later.
For me the 'Unleashed' line is overblown, we don't need a "pre-customized" Perfect Grade, the 2001 PG Mk-II has a perfectly fine detailed inner frame with extra gimmicks, without the whole thing needing a 'phases of layers experience'.
When it's all said and done, when you have runners, bags and boxes all over your floor, you've accomplished something. It's a genuinely fantastic model kit that you can pose without limbs sagging or pieces falling off, without it having to stand like a static statue, and it looks beautiful.
I'm putting money aside for the PGU Sazabi already and if you want to make me feel better in spending so much money on plastic crack, I think you should buy this kit.

This kit is just magnificent. From the moment you open the enormous box, everything about this kit is excellent. Runner layout is ingenious. Build experience is incredibly good fun. The inner frame details are mind blowing. And the aesthetics of this kit is just amazing, it looks truly fantastic on the shelf.
